Abnormal...

I'm not sure what's been going on with life, but it has been highly abnormal lately. First it was fast and furious, then it slowed down and I'm feeling monstrously restless. It might be the lack of house plants in my life. (Note: Get a house plant.)

You know what, upon further reflection, a house plant probably won’t help. Never mind.

Life is so crazy.

Sometimes I honestly just wonder, do I attract crazy? Because normal people don’t live like me. At least I don’t think they do.  Any normal people please comment down below and just let me know how you live, because I reeaaallyy need “How to Be Normal” lessons.

Life is so crazy. Abnormal.

The really cool thing is that no matter how crazy the world is, we are supposed to be abnormal. We are supposed to live away from the normality of the world.

We are supposed to be anomalies, living live in a way that is a little uncomfortable, and 100% abnormal.

And for those of you who are looking at their lives like, “haha… what language are you speaking when you say the word “Normality?”” here are a couple reminders:

John the Baptist wore Camels skin and ate locust. *Clears throat* That’s not normal.
Jesus multiplied 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish to feed 5000 people. That’s also not normal.
Ruth left everything that she ever knew to go with her mother in law in a foreign land. Pst: that’s not normal.
Moses—with the help of God—led an entire nation out of slavery into a land promised to God’s people.  *Shakes head* not normal.
Jesus’ disciples left everything to follow him. To be honest, that’s not normal.
Jonah lived in the belly of a whale for three days.
Jesus’ disciples left everything to follow him.
Noah built an arc on dry land, because God told him to.

Do I need to go on?

Your life may be crazy, but you know what? Normality is boring.
Live radically abnormal.

It’s more fun that way anyway.

God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us to do good works, which God planned in advance for us to live our lives doing.” – Ephesians 2:10

One more thing that I wanted to say: God will use your restlessness, the craziness, the abnormality, boring-ness and everything else in your life to bring glory to His name. It's just what he does. Let Him mold and use the things you call crazy--your insane dreams or your restlessness-- and use it to bring glory to His name.
